Be@rbrick is more than a collectible – it is a global cultural phenomenon that moves seamlessly between art, fashion, and popular culture.
Since its launch by Medicom Toy in 2001, Be@rbrick has become an icon of contemporary art, with the figure’s simple bear shape serving as a canvas for collaborations with some of the world’s most influential artists, designers, and brands.

Each Be@rbrick is a miniature artwork, often released in limited editions that quickly become highly sought-after collectibles. Through collaborations ranging from streetwear giants like Nike and Supreme to artists such as KAWS and the Andy Warhol Foundation, Be@rbrick has established itself as a bridge between collector culture and contemporary art.

At Mankovsky Gallery, we see Be@rbrick as a natural part of our curated selection – objects that capture the spirit of the times and demonstrate how art can take shape in unexpected ways.

Chris is an artist with a multidisciplinary practice that combines sculpture, illustration, and graphic design to explore social constructs, branding, popular culture, and the transition from youth to adulthood. Often rendered primarily in wood, his geometric sculptures use abstract visual language to depict contemporary fashion and footwear. With these principles at the forefront of his work, Chan retains the organic element of the material to represent a mass-produced consumer good. Although they emulate iconic footwear, the rigid forms themselves are created to host and support live plants flowers.
