With artworks and sculptures that intrigue and surprise, Sebastian "Whatshisname" Burdon is one of the most ironic names out there for an artist. For over fifteen years, Sebastian Burdon has been taking the creative industry by storm as a contemporary artist specializing in sculptures, prints and public art projects.

The Polish-born artist moved to London, in 2006, and worked with variety of British artists as an assistant, helping fulfill their creative visions, while being mentored and refining his craft before embarking on a solo career as professional artist.

Whilst the title of this artwork is a fusion of 'POP' from the pop art movement and the artist friend's high school nickname 'ek', the artistic concept behind the piece is also a fusion of unique and wonderful ideas.

Initially a parody of contemporary artist Jeff Koons whose work sold for nearly $60m at auction, these cheeky and rebellious hand-painted sculptures by Whatshisname also adopt the behaviour of real dogs; modelled after his own three pets. Consequently, the other aim of this piece is to evoke pure joy and happiness by mixing the childlike colours of party balloons with the natural yet hilariously exaggerated behaviour of dogs.
